Update

The pregnancy is going amazing. I am not very sick anymore and enjoying my little baby bump! My next midwife appt. is on Wednesday. I am excited to hear the heartbeat and set the date for my next ultrasound appt. where we will find out the sex of our little bubba. I finally started buying a few things for him or her. I got a travel system, bouncer, nursing pillow, and about 10 outfits! I was pretty proud of myself. We just need a pak-n-play to keep next to our bed, a swing, more cloth diapers, and a breast pump (which I am afraid of buying, I just though I would be able to feed with my breasts only I never thought of Billy taking the baby out alone! yikes lol). I am having a baby shower put on by on of my old best friends at the shop. I am excited for that. It will be nice to have some new outfits. I only buy used for the most part so spoiling my babe without breaking the bank will be great. We are set on names.

Colt Liam for a boy
and
Noralie Cerie for a girl (edit: we are NOT set on that name)

I am not really rooting for team blue or pink. I am just excited to have my sweet baby here. It feels like it's taking forever! I will post an update after my next midwife appt. and let ya'll know how it went.

Crazy Baby Lady

I have been driving myself nuts these last few days. All I can think about is my baby. I keep counting how many months, weeks, days... until my little turkey will be here. I torture myself by looking at baby clothes and watching "A baby story". It's kind of sick actually. I need to find something to do that will keep my mind off of it for a little while. Going to work with hubby never helps because familes with sweet tiny babies come in or pregnant women with bellies that are about to pop. If you look at my notebooks "Colt Liam DeHerrera" and a few girlie names are scribbled on every page! I am so excited it's not even funny. My cousin Ashley from Lousianna is having a baby girl in August. Our babies will only be 3 months apart! I am making her crocheted headbands with the big bows or flowers on them to send to her. I am hoping when Baby D comes we will be able to visit and have the babies meet. That would just be so sweet. We need to find a church soon because I want to have a stable church when my sweetie is born. Right now we are trying things out. I think I have an idea of what church I want to go to but I am not sure yet. Goodberry is crazy right now. Hubby is running the shop right now and is so busy but it is a blessing. Before our baby comes we might have a nice big house to live in. I praise God everyday for how much He blesses us with. Shop number 2 is in the works. In a few years we hope Costa Rica will be our home with a few shops there. Anyways I thought I would update you on how baby crazy I am and how Goodberry is doing. I will post some pictures of the shop soon on here. It is just so cute!

Itty Bitty Angel

So I went in for an ultra sound today. The baby (only one) is doing great. I loved watching him (no we don't know if it's a boy or a girl but I am going to call it him for this blog) dance around on the screen. It was funny he was very still then started kicking and punching the air... it looked like he was dancing. Billy almost started crying. We are so in love with this baby it is crazy. We have for sure picked a boy name Colt Liam DeHerrera and have a few ideas for a girl name. We like strong and semi original names for a boy and sweet original names for a girl. I like Cerie (pronouned sur-re), Reagan (not that original but cute), Avalee (like ava-lee), and Briar. I am not sure if we will go with any of those but right now they are being tossed around. I get my next ultrasound to find out the gender in 9 weeks. Baby D is due on November 29th, 2010. Just 4 days after Thanksgiving. I hope I can still do the black Friday shopping with my big tummy hehe. I will keep you posted.

Fluffy

So as you all know I am expecting. When you are preparing for your new little one there are so many question you need to ask. Breastfed or bottle? Co-sleep or crib? Cloth diaper or disposable? We have been researching and deciding on many things. Diapers were a huge one for us. We are not hippies by any means but we are frugal eco friendly people. Throwing our money out into a landfill did sound like something we wanted to do. When you diaper with disposable that is pretty much what you are doing. Plus we are "quiverfull" so if the Lord does bless us with many children that is a lot of waste. Cloth diapering does not waste and we will be able to reuse our stash on our other babes. Cloth diapers are better on babies skin as well. I don't want yucky stuff on my babies booty. I love swagbucks because they have gift cards for earth angel diaper co and amazon. They both have great selections of fluffy cloth diapers. We are planing to buy several of the "big names" in semi large stashes so we can see what works best and have a variety on hand. When I tell people that I will be cloth diapering they look at me like I just told them I have eye balls on my toes. My mom was less than thrilled so I want to make her swoon over them. I will be getting some nice fluffy all in ones for her to use when she watches Regan or Colt (or our twins?? I can't wait to hurry up and find out!).

Our first cloth diaper cover came in the mail today and I jumped (well kind of) for joy! It is so tiny and cute. I can't wait to have my wittle babe here in his/her sweet thristies melon diaper!

I will keep you posted when more of my fluffy mail comes!

Why a new blog?

I was sick of my old one. Sick of the haters, sick of feeling like I had to live up to something, and sick of being stalked. I know this blog won't be "hater free", I know that people will still look down upon me, and I bet there will still be a few stalkers in the mix. I am okay with that. I am in a good place in my life. I was losing it. I was losing my faith. I became obsessed with living the life that my blogging friends lived. I wanted it so bad. I tried to change who I was, my family, my husband.... everything. I was not happy with any of them because they weren't living up to what I thought was the only way of life. I was consumed with being perfect for them, so I could seem like the perfect bibical woman. In doing so I was not being that. I was online more than I was cooking or baking, I was reading more than I was spending time with my loved ones, I stoped praying as much, and stoped remembering what Christ did for me. I know have worked through that. I love my life. I am loving being married. I am loving being pregnant (with twins?? maybe?). I am loving our church. I have not changed. I am just real now. Yes I still dress modest. Yes I still plan on homeschooling. Yes I do not plan on working. Yes I still crochet and sew. Yes we are leaving our children up to God. So what has changed? I cut my hair to a length that makes me look cute. I watch tv every now and then. I go to the movies from time to time. I listen to country more than anything. I enjoy the Baptist church. You may think I am a wordly bad person, but I am not. I pray more than ever, I am more caring, I am happier, I want the best for everyone, I do not think everyone has to look like me, and I love more. I might lose some friends but if I do then God didn't want them for me. I am fine with that.

What you can expect from this blog? A lot of pregnancy talk, a lot of marriage talk, fun recipes I am trying (when I am done puking my brains out), pictures of baby projects I am working on, funny stories about my day, a few stories about our crazy dog Bella, and I am sure some modest fashion tips!

I am still working on making this blog cute. Being techo- challenged makes this hard. I can't even work office 2007. So we will see how this goes :)
